Easy Butter Rice
Why do humans constantly experience a sense of dissatisfaction? In my previous post, I expressed my frustration with the excessively hot weather. However, now that it has been raining for three days, my laundry refuses to dry. Are we not designed to ever feel content? #FoodForThought
.
While I appreciate the rainy season, I dislike the accumulation of laundry. Even though I consider myself young enough, I am slowly realizing that age is catching up to me. True happiness often lies in an empty laundry basket and freshly mopped floors. Of course, happiness is also derived from a satisfying meal, such as the delightful combination of butter rice and lamb curry. Let’s begin with the simple butter rice recipe today, and I will share the curry recipe in my next post.
.
Typically, I prepare ghee rice which involves cooking basmati rice with ghee and various aromatic spices. It is delicious and quite popular. However, today’s recipe is even simpler. No onions need to be chopped, yet it still boasts remarkable flavor. This particular recipe only requires four ingredients: basmati rice, whole spices, butter, and salt. Surprisingly straightforward, isn’t it?
Easy Butter Rice
Despite its simplicity, this Easy Butter Rice bursts with flavor. It can be prepared in just one pot, or in my case, a rice cooker. If you’ve been looking for an incredibly delicious and effortless rice recipe, your search ends here. It pairs well with curries, lentils, stews, and even a hearty serving of roasted meat and vegetables. And let’s not forget the delightful addition of a tablespoon of chutney on the side. *Insets Chef’s kiss*
