Delicious Non Alcoholic Sangria

Oct 28, 2015 · 2 Comments

Delicious Non Alcoholic Sangria

Sangria is a classic Spanish beverage and it is typically made with red wine, fruits and sweetener. Liquor or spices can also be included for extra flavor. There are many variations of a Sangria and a non-alcoholic version is one of them.

Christmas is fast approaching and I wanted to try my hand at making a beverage that is not only delicious but it can also be enjoyed by everyone. I know it is still October and I am already planning something that is gonna only happen in December. The excuses that you come up with, just to have something yummy in your tummy! On second thoughts, it could also be the warm weather syndrome. It has been relatively hot recently and something cold is such a grave need!

Delicious Non Alcoholic Sangria

So back to this sangria, I do not consume alcohol and neither does my family, thus this recipe is perfect! Some of you might be thinking that a non alcoholic sangria would not be as good, compared to the ones with booze. Well, surprise, surprise! This sangria was the bomb and best of all, kids can enjoy this as well!

Delicious Non Alcoholic Sangria

I used white grape juice for this Sangria and added slices of apples, oranges, lime, lemon and strawberries. This is really easy to make and it took me 10 minutes only from start to finish. The hardest part about making this drink is waiting for it to “be ready”. Although you can drink this 10 minutes after preparing it, It would be best to store it in the fridge and let the flavors mingle for at least 4 hours or even overnight if you prefer. That would take 1 hell of a willpower! I let mine steep in the fridge for approximately 4 hours and it was perfect!. The flavors of the fruits really came through and it was so refreshingly delightful.

You can really use whatever fruits that you favor. Cranberries, peaches, pineapples, raspberries…Anything goes. In fact, you can also spice it up by adding a stick of cinnamon.

This delicious non alcoholic sangria is the perfect beverage for parties or when you have guests over. Why serve old plain soft drinks when you can up it by a notch? I already know as to what I am gonna be serving this Christmas. Why don’t you give this a try as well? We might just be serving the same pretty drink this Christmas! ♥

I’m pregnant this Thanksgiving and feel like this would be the perfect substitute! Plus I don’t drink soda and feel like the sparkling juice will be more than enough sugar… Do you think flavored sparkling lime water will do the trick?

Hello Rosy. Yes, the sparkling juice is pretty sweet and using the sparkling water is perfectly fine. Congratulations btw! 🙂
