Kiwi and Banana Smoothie

No more watching YouTube like I am getting paid for it.

No more sleeping and beating sleeping beauty’s record.

No more impromptu visits to the supermarket.

I am going to miss the late nights. My life is officially over. I mean, life officially starts. 😀

Charting Today was on a break for three weeks and I was basking in the spirit of being a bum. Now that the holidays are over, I am really looking forward to work hard. Psst… you should say the right things when you know your boss is reading your blog.

Anyways, I had a couple of ripe kiwis lying in the fridge and I had to use them fast and there was no way I could have devoured 5 kiwis on my own, so the only easy option I had was to make a smoothie out of them.

Kiwis are generally a bit tangy and sharp thus I decided to pair it with bananas which are relatively sweet and creamy. Together, these two ingredients complimented each other really well. I added some plain yoghurt and coconut water to increase the nutritional value of this charmer. You can opt to use water instead of coconut water if you prefer. The colour of the smoothie is not green as I used a mixed of green and golden kiwis.

This Kiwi and Banana Smoothie is really simple, delicious and truly healthy as it contains a good amount of nutrients especially potassium due to the presence of coconut water and banana. I love it when I can enjoy something sweet that is guilt free! Do give this smoothie a try people! Kiwi and Banana Smoothie

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 Kiwis
  • 2 medium Bananas (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup coconut water
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 2 tbsp honey or agave (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place all the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.
  2. Pour into 2 tall glasses and enjoy immediately!
