Easy 30 Minutes Prawn Masala

Mar 26, 2021 · 1 Comment

Easy 30 Minutes Prawn Masala Namaste everyone! We have about 20 days to Ramadan. In my mind, the countdown started 100 days back though. I absolutely love Ramadan for a couple of reasons. One thing for sure, this month gives a totally different vibe. I hope #ramadanvibes is already trending.

I did a blog post last week but somehow it feels like it has been a while? But it feels good to be talking writing to you guys again. Thanks for being here, be it for the recipes I share or my ramblings. You guys are the heart of this blog. <3

So, let’s take our taste buds to India today with this Easy 30 Minutes Prawn Masala.

Easy 30 Minutes Prawn Masala

A lot of Indian recipes can be pretty daunting for someone who is new to Indian cuisines. Indian dishes are packed with flavours which often involves a long list of spices used. For example, making a concoction of curry powder, would involve bringing together coriander, cumin, turmeric, chilli powder…etc2. Not everyone might have all the spices in their pantry so using a ready-made curry powder is a good alternative. There’s lots of good ready-made curry powder out there. I personally like the brand “Babas”.

With curries or masala, it is very important to use a good amount of onion + you need to sauté your ingredients well. You know your masalas are cooked well when you see a thin layer of oil on top of the masala OR when you see the oil separating from the masala.

This Easy 30 Minutes Prawn Masala is easy and the perfect dish if you want to cook a delicious Indian dish without spending too much time in the kitchen. It is mildly spicy and the masala is perfect on a bed of steamy rice or some buttery naan. Oh, you might want to try this delicious Easy 3 ingredients flatbread to go with these masala prawns. You can always substitute other seafood in place of prawns. This recipe works very well with squids too! It is also a good make-ahead recipe. Do cook a big batch of this for the upcoming Ramadan as this keeps well for at least 5-7 days in the fridge and a whole month in the freezer!
