Ingredients
- 1/2 onion – chopped (see notes)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp Greek/plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 tsp lemon zest (optional)
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1–2 tsp honey (start with 1 tsp and adjust accordingly)
- 2–3 tbsp water
- 2 tbsp poppy seeds
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Saute the shallot in olive oil for 2-3 minutes.
- In a bowl, place mayonnaise, lemon juice, lemon zest, yogurt, onions (with the oil), honey, and salt.
- Add the water to adjust the consistency.
- Taste accordingly annd stir in the poppy seeds.
- Keep refrigerated.
Notes
If you are cool with consuming raw onions, there isn’t a need to saute the onions. Just directly add the onions and olive oil into the dressing.
