Shirley Temple Mocktail

Dec 18, 2018 · Leave a Comment

Shirley Temple MocktailWith the holidays season fast approaching, I can sense that companies manufacturing alcohols are making a lot of money, however they ain’t getting a single cent from me. *Grins*

Today I am sharing a popular mocktail that is perfect for Christmas. This is especially good when you also have little children among your guests who would want something fancy to drink. They too deserve to feel like grown-ups sipping on pretty, bubbly drinks, right?

The Shirley Temple is one of the best non-alcoholic drinks out there. I find it appealing both visually and in flavor. Best of all, it is incredibly easy to prepare at home. A basic Shirley Temple Mocktail uses only two ingredients that are grenadine and a soda. Ginger beer can also be added for a nice twist.

Grenadine is a nice way to dress up your average soda as it adds a nice fruity flavor to the drink.

If you are not sure what gerandine is; it’s actually a common syrup used at bars to make cocktails and mocktails. It is both sweet and tart and since it is red, it adds a nice color to your drinks. I personally love to keep a bottle of this at home to dress up the soda whenever the guests arrive at my place.

If you need a pretty yet easy drink to serve your guests, do give this Shirley Temple recipe a try, especially if your party involves kids, expecting mothers and drivers who need to reach home safe and sound.
