Eid Mubarak to all Muslims! I guess its a very busy period for most people now. The visiting need to be done, the exam papers to be marked…the pouring of guests every now and then….all totally inevitable.

THE GUESTS – All Smiles….

THE SPREAD – Tandoori chicken in kashmiri butter sauce, beef sambal, harisa
rice, cucumber salad, chutney, fried bihun, aglio olio with meatballs, cream of
mushroom soup, potato gratin, sabsuka, cottage pie, tiramisu. butter cake, fruit
cake, kaya roll. All by yours sincerely…

THE SMILES – My cousins, my ambassadors…

Eid is such a joyous festival. Looking at all these smiles makes me wonder, why
do I dread Hari Raya at times?! Just look at her…..

Having spoken to a number of local grocers and traders in our neighbourhood in East London, my husband has found that their highest sales of the year are during Ramadan and Eid, regardless of whether the grocers are Muslim or not.
